How to submit electronic fingerprints for Evaluation
The prints can be submitted in any electronic medium an e-mail attachment, memory stick, DVD or CD traditional photographs are acceptable as well. The case can also be sent via any of the mail services but certified is preferred. The best results will be obtained if the images are at least 500 ppi and a jpeg/tif format. We do have the capability to handle other graphic formats to include the AWARE WSQ compressed images. Any agency doing latent work today should be able to give you the latent and exemplar images electronically at a nominal fee. If you have any doubt or questions on getting FBIS thefingerprint images, please contact us via e-mail or phone. Once an identification package has been received a notification of receipt will be sent to the contributing agency or office. A report will be produced and sent with the results of the initial evaluation containing any recommended follow-up actions within a week of receipt.
