| Basic Fingerprint Training Tenprint Student will be introduced and understand pattern determination, classification of fingerprints as well as the steps required to individualize (identify) a searched fingerprint image to a record in the AFIS system. The course is the equivalent of the 40 hr basic fingerprint training programs administered by most state and federal agencies. After completion of the course the student will: * Understand automated fingerprint identification system (AFIS) processing. * Determine proper pattern type. * Classify fingerprint cards using the Henry, NCIC and IAFIS formulas. * Determine "usability" fingerprint images for comparison purposes. * Understand and apply Analysis,Comparison, Evaluation and Verification methodology. Students working as AFIS fingerprint examiners, attorney's and or staff as well as crime scene investigators will benefit from this training program.

| Latent Finger and Palm Print Verification Techniques The training course adhere's to the Scientific Working Group Fingerprint Ridge Analysis, Study and Technology training guidelines for latent examiners. Goals expected from this training include: - Ability to properly conduct a comparison and render a proper and accurate conclusion.
- Understanding the use of fingerprints, palmprints in criminal and civil applications.
- Understanding Friction ridge examination (analysis, comparison, evaluation, and verification).
- Ability to analyze friction ridge details to determine the value for comparison.
- Recognize/utilize ridge flow, scars, creases, and other detail supporting examination.Recognize and properly determine, the area from which
- the friction ridges originated.
- Properly analyze latent impressions, understand pressure distortion, slippage, and overlays.
- Documentation of a latent examination and ability to produce a court exhibit.
- Understanding Daubert issues.
Students working as latent examiner trainee's, crime scene investigators, attorney's and or staff will benefit from this training program.

| Capturing Fingerprint Impressions(Manual/Livescan). Brief History of Fingerprints for civil and Law Enforcement applications The most critical process in the fingerprint identification process. Upon completion the student will have the ability to capture a good set of fingerprints and will : •Understand the history of fingerprints for civil and Law enforcement applications. •Understand how the automated fingerprint identification systems function. • Coders • Matchers • Database • Generic Tenprint/latent workflow •Get an introduction Pattern Area: • Typelines. • Delta. • Core. • Ridge count. • Loop, Arch and Whorl Patterns •The student understand importance and what is needed in a good quality fingerprint, inked or livescan fingerprint capture: • Ink and roll • Livescan •Student will be able to determine and define pattern area and be able to understand the required elements of a good fingerprint image. Students working as AFIS fingerprint examiners, crime scene investigators, attorney's and or staff as well as crime scene investigators will benefit from this training program.
